The Lodge Casino History
The Lodge Casino at Black Hawk was built in June 1998 at a cost of $73 million, becoming the largest casino in the state of Colorado at the time. It was also the very first casino in the area to offer hotel rooms and restaurants on-site, providing full-service accommodations for its out-of-town visitors.
The casino was a joint venture between Black Hawk Gaming & Development Company Inc. and Jacobs Investments, which would later be combined into Jacobs Entertainment Inc.
Jacobs Entertainment Inc. currently owns and operates several gaming and entertainment properties across the U.S., including The Gilpin Casino – also based in Black Hawk.
The Lodge Casino is situated within the hotel complex, which offers 50 boutique hotel rooms. The 47 deluxe rooms and 3 suites offer vast convenience and comfort to casino-goers.
